Balise explores the narratives of nautical technical details and translates it into a domestic object made to last.
A diving suit helmet, A light house or a submarine periscope, Balise heritage reflects the playful aspect of nautical tecnhology. Iinspired from such details in 1950’s cartoons like Popeye the Sailor or Tom & Jerry, its body is made of a single cast aluminium part molded in sand or by gravity.
Available in raw aluminium or powder coated, its diffuse light highlights it as a markpoint in a domestic space, like a buoy in a foggy night.
